Derek Arden talks to Financial commentator Justin Urquhart-Stewart about the markets, the pound and borrowing.

The timing is ideal with our UK mini-budget having taken place last Friday.

A controversial budget. Cutting taxes, paying towards people’s energy bills. All with borrowed money, increasing the UK’s interest costs of already £100bn a year.

This is all at a time when interest rates are rising to combat supply inflation.

I wonder if this is why the pound has sunk to a 40-year low against the US dollar.

We have so many questions to pose to Justin.

He won’t have all the answers, but he will have a very experienced view.
