On this week’s Monday Night Live, hosted by Derek Arden, we welcome two extraordinary guests, Julia and Tom, who left their jobs behind to embark on a year-long adventure—cycling across 26 countries, covering 19,000 km, and climbing 125,000 meters (14 times the height of Everest!). 🚵♂️
Their journey took them from Singapore to the UK, through Asia, Central Asia, and Europe, navigating extreme climates, challenging roads, and unforgettable encounters with people around the world.

✅ Cycling 300 km with broken gears to find the nearest bike shop
✅ Enduring 45°C heatwaves in India and altitude sickness in the mountains of Tajikistan
✅ Camping in ancient temples and staying with locals via the Warm Showers network
✅ Making it to the news in India, being stopped for selfies, and experiencing the vibrant culture firsthand
✅ Crossing the remote mountains of Kyrgyzstan, cycling through wild landscapes where horses roamed freely
✅ Experiencing overwhelming kindness from people in Turkey, Albania, and across Europe
✅ Surviving on just £12,000 for the entire year, tracking every banana and every puncture (only 18 flats in total!)
✅ The emotional return home, greeted by family and friends after the adventure of a lifetime
Julia and Tom’s story is one of determination, resilience, and adventure—a reminder that with the right mindset, anything is possible. They share lessons in perseverance, leadership, and the incredible generosity of strangers across the world.
