Skiing and business skills

I have always likened sport to business, although in sport there are rules and in business the rules are not always so clear.

I was skiing last week and one morning I decided to go down a blue run with Nadine who is a rather expert and much younger than me “Snow boarder”. The other 7 people in our group went down a black run. Steeper and quicker and definitely more macho. We arrived at the bottom of the mountain a full 20 minutes ahead of the others who had crashed, had ice issues and skis that had come off. One of the group Adrian was visibly shaking about the experience an hour later.

Do you take the easy route or do you take the tougher route to the same place. If you take the easy route you have time to enjoy the journey and often get to your goal quicker. Remember Ockhams razor – the easiest route is often the best.
