Client saves £75k day after workshop

“What happened was I needed to bring some production costs down on an event
from £240k to £165k – quite a signficant drop and quality couldn’t be
compromised.
I thought about what you had said in terms about really understanding my
negotiating position and thought that although I never seem to have enough
budget for my events, I do have a good reputation within the wider business
for them and therefore, could make introductions for the production company
with key contacts. ie broaden their exposure within the business.
So I used your advice to say ‘ I really need your help please – this is my
problem – and if you can help me, this is what I can do for you’. They
were very responsive to that initially but then called me to say that they
might only get down to £180k. I said I was very grateful but really needed
them to pull out all the stops and reiterated my desire to help them in the
future too.
Well we got there. The relationship is better than ever and we delivered a
first class event.
