Haggling – What would make you happy?

Negotiating Tip  “What would make you happy?”

When negotiating and haggling, always start higher than what you expect to get and ask for extras as well. You can always come down but you can never go back up afterwards and retain a good relationship.

If you cannot get any clues from the client on what their price is – ask them  “What would make you happy?” and listen to their response. Then haggle if the deal is not sharp enough.
