I met with a friend of mine Matt Crabtree yesterday afternoon for a catch up meeting. Matt has offered to help in anyway when I become President of the Professional Speaking Association. Matt is a serial entrepreneur. What I mean by that is that he is a self starter, builds businesses and is constantly looking, thinking and taking action. His energy is viral, you catch it and it is so positive, in fact its like a drug you want more.

Matt is building a global business, he doesn’t just talk about it, he does it. He has learnt how to do it by being around successful people. For example at one stage he worked as Jack Black’s COO and he learnt Black’s skills and methods, interpreted them in his own way and moved on. Adding value to Black and growing himself. Win Win

We have to seek out people like Matt Crabtree either by meeting them, reading their books or listening to what they do. There are so many books and I would recommend Richard Branson’s books as a first starter. It’s cold, its winter, its dull – now is a great opportunity to go for it, while most people are still hibernating. Take action now.
