Encouragement grows people, animals and plants – Koi fish

The Koi fish principle is known to many people. I f you put a Koi fish into a small tank it grows to about 2 inches long. If you put it into a large tank it grows to 2 feet long. I have noticed that this similar situation has happened with sunflowers in my garden. I grew some sunflowers from seed and planted some of them in a nice flower bed and left some in a seed tray. The same seeds grown at the same time. The sunflowers in the bed are 6 foot tall and the ones on the tray are 3 inches tall. Both alive and flowering. Isn’t this what happens to people. Nurture them, feeding them gives them room to grow and looks what happens. Stifle them, critcism them and give them no space and they never reach their potential.
